Thanksgiving Song

This is a very simple counting song for little kids. While learning this song you can introduce the wonderful idea of Thanksgiving Day even to very little children. This material can be also used during the lessons related to farm animals and numbers.

Thanksgiving turkey craft

Starfish Craft

This is a very simple paper craft for a little kid. You can use it while learning sea animals, star shape or just for summer fun.

While making this craft your child will learn more the following:
  • Blue, yellow, and pink colors;
  • Star, circle and paper ball shape;
  • Life in the sea.

You’ll also help your kid develop:
  • fine motor skills;
  • hand-eye coordination;
  • sense of space;
  • imagination;
  • creativity;
  • emotional intelligence.

For this craft you’ll need the following:
  • blue, yellow, and pink construction paper;
  • scissors;
  • glue stick;
  • pencil;
  • wiggle eyes (if you like).

Step-by-step instructions:

Step 1
Use a pencil to draw a star onto a piece of yellow construction paper. This will be the body of your starfish.
Cut out the star around the line. If your child can’t cut out you can help him.
Stick the starfish onto the blue sheet of paper (the sea).

Step 2
Take a small piece of pink construction paper and tear off small stripes (sunbeams). Encourage your child to tear off stripes by himself.
Let your kid crumple these paper stripes to make paper balls. Crumpled paper balls represent sensitive tube feet of the starfish.
Stick these paper balls onto the star. Help your child to place the tube feet on the starfish rays.

Step 3
Make the face of the star. Let your kid stick wiggle eyes onto the star.
Draw a mouth on the red construction paper, cut it out and let the kid stick it onto the starfish, too.
Draw a nose with a marker.
